“I am now more practical and objective oriented when it comes to business” says Zaiton Majeed, a Mentee who has been on the Red Pill Program for about five months now.
Zaiton joined the Red Pill Program during our launch in November 2014 and has since then made some remarkable progress under the mentoring of Mr Kesavan Sathyamoorthy, Group CEO for Diamond Glass Pte Ltd and Chairman for YEN@SICCI.
Zaiton is the author of her book “Turn Your Passion into Profits” which documented the events in her life and how she overcame these challenges. She is also a coach and trainer who advocates women empowerment.
In the course of her mentorship, Zaiton experienced “A Day with CEO” during which she spent a full day (9am to 7.30pm to be exact) with her Mentor and had the opportunity to see in real time how he runs his business. She was able to observe the way he handled the different people, such as tough suppliers, he meets during the office hours. Seeing the way he handles his employees she learn that a successful entrepreneur must have a relationship building skill.
This is just one example of what Mentees of the Red Pill Program experiences. Each of our Mentees have different needs. The members of YEN@SICCI Executive Committee are undertaking deep initiatives to understand these Mentees and shape them up before they are matched with other Mentors who will review their business plans and guide them along. These Mentors are qualified successful entrepreneurs who have stepped up to dedicate their knowledge and experience to creating more entrepreneurs
What Zaiton has to say about The Red Pill Program:
“The Red Pill program has facilitated me to gain focus and clarity. I am more profit driven in business now versus the mentality of making money for fun or merely profiting from a hobby!
My mentor has helped me envision the vision – that I am set out to empower women and that I will be a travelling trainer. It resonates with what I want to be. The hand-holding coaching is really beneficial. It helps to know that someone who has walked the path can guide you or lead you the way. It is helping me to accelerate the work I should do for my business. Above all, it shapes up my mind as I leverage on my mentor’s critical thinking.”
